HZA Hamburger Zollakademie – Hamburg’s premier institution for customs and foreign trade
Since 2012, HZA Hamburger Zollakademie GmbH (HZA) has been the center for professional continuing education and training in the field of customs in Hamburg.
Since June 2022, the HZA has been part of the corporate group of the renowned publishing house C.H. Beck as a subsidiary of the AWA AUSSENWIRTSCHAFTS-AKADEMIE (AWA).
Matthias Merz and Cornelius von Eichel-Streiber are the managing directors of HZA Hamburger Zollakademie GmbH.
Matthias Merz is the managing director of AWA AUSSENWIRTSCHAFTS-AKADEMIE. Cornelius von Eichel-Streiber is an authorized signatory and head of the Finance and Human Resources department at AWA.

The Hamburger Zollakademie offers seminars, hybrid seminars (livestreams), webinars, and certificate programs. Our continuing education is practical and engaging: nearly all of our instructors have hands-on experience and are well-versed in your day-to-day work in the fields of customs, taxation, and export controls.
