Webinar Update U.S. Export Controls – Update 2023 (BIS) online WEBUSECB230301
Update on U.S. Dual-use Export Controls
Last year there were many changes to U.S. export controls and sanctions laws and regulations that impacted companies and financial institutions based in Germany and other EU member states. On the second day of the online conference, presentations will focus on U.S. dual-use export controls in connection with China, Iran and of course Russia.
When it comes to current export controls, the focus is naturally on the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Since February 2022, the U.S. government, together with the EU and other partners, has been using strategic export controls and sanctions to restrict Russia's access to advanced technology. These measures are designed to hit the Russian arms industry.
The second day of the online conference will include practical information on how changes in the range of U.S. dual-use export controls will impact the day-today business operations and compliance programs of German and other non-U.S. companies and financial institutions, across a range of business sectors.
German and European companies trading with the USA are forced to come into contact with U.S. export control law. At the online conference, experts on U.S. law will teach you how to assess the current U.S. export control policy and what conclusions you can draw from it for your trade transactions. The focus will be on U.S. dual-use export controls.
Find the main subjects of the conference in the preliminary schedule.
