Update U.S. Export Controls – Update 2025 (ITAR/DDTC) WEBUSECA250101

Update on Defense Export Controls

Are you looking for a compact way to find out about innovations in U.S. (re-)export control law? Then we have good news for you! The AWA Foreign Trade Academy, one of the largest providers of training in customs and foreign trade law in Germany, is once again organizing a comprehensive update on U.S. (re-)export control law in 2025.

The main topics will be announced in the second half of 2024 due to the geopolitical and legal developments.

You will receive a first-hand update from speakers from the relevant U.S. authorities. The conference will be moderated by U.S. attorney Douglas N. Jacobson, who specializes in U.S. (re-)export control law and who will lead you through the program in his usual manner together with the Managing Director of AWA Foreign Trade Academy, Matthias Merz.

The first day of the update is dedicated to export controls in the defense sector. This relates in particular to the work of the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) regarding ITAR, USML, Embargo issues and more.

The U.S. Export Controls – Update 2025 has now established itself as a popular format in the export control community. The AWA conference offers you a platform for sharing expertise and best practices. You will learn what is in store for exporting companies affected by U.S. export control law in 2025, whether there is a need for action for your export control processes, and which developments you should keep an eye on.

Export Control Conference of the AWA: Combine your visit to the U.S. Export Controls - Update 2025 (ITAR/DDTC) and the U.S. Export Controls - Update 2025 (BIS/OFAC) with participation in our update on Export Control Update 2025.
