The AWA Foreign Trade Academy, one of the largest providers of training in customs and foreign trade law in Germany, is once again organizing a comprehensive update on U.S. (re-)export control law in 2026.

You will receive a first-hand update from speakers from the relevant U.S. authorities. The first day of the update is dedicated to export controls in the defense sector. This relates in particular to the work of the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) regarding ITAR, USML, Embargo issues and more.

The U.S. Export Controls – Update 2026 has now established itself as a popular format in the export control community. The AWA conference offers you a platform for sharing expertise and best practices. You will learn what is in store for exporting companies affected by U.S. export control law in 2026, whether there is a need for action for your export control processes, and which developments you should keep an eye on.
